Niantic revelead the development of real world Monster Hunter, just like Pokemon Go.
Niantic, the developer behind the popular augmented reality game Pokémon Go, has announced that it is working on a new real-world game based on the Monster Hunter franchise for its next release. This new game will bring the popular Monster Hunter universe to life in a whole new way, combining the excitement of the game’s combat with real-world exploration.
While specific details about the gameplay aren’t available, Niantic has revealed that players will be able to encounter monsters and resources on a real-world map. Moreover, while interviewing, they also told me the game would utilize augmented reality technology as they did in Pokemon Go. Combat will also be a significant part of the game, with battles lasting a maximum of 75 seconds.
Players will also have the option to team up with friends to take on even more challenging monsters together.
According to Sakae Osumi, senior producer at Niantic’s Tokyo studio, the game’s combat element will be simple and intuitive yet challenging to master.
Niantic has yet to announce releasing date for Monster Hunter Now, but more details are expected to be revealed when the game’s closed beta launches in the near future.
With the success of Pokémon Go and the popularity of the Monster Hunter franchise, it’s safe to say that there is plenty of anticipation for this new augmented-reality game from Niantic.
